Any thoughts on this powder say its a cross with Accurate #5 which looks like a pretty versatile powder.

Accurate #5 is indeed a very versatile powder to use in a wide variety of pistol cartridges. I have not heard of "commercial #5" though. Who is selling it, where did you see anything written about it?Robert

American reloading has been reselling Maxam powder for close to a year. They have had CSB-1 and CSB-5 powders, which can be used in pistol and shotgun loads. Same brand of powder used in RIO brand ammo. Assume it is made in Spain. If you search the net you can find their site and powder pages.

Do they have it in stock??

My guess is yes. At that price plus shipping and hazmat you are loking at what $250-$260 for that jug??
Multiple jugs will off see the hazmat bu not the wallet.

I agree. Then again I have 2 of the 8 lb. jugs and 3 of the 1 lb. jugs on my shelves already from buying them several years back before Barry got slicked into office.Robert

Hollywood,

I purchased some C#5 a while back and have done only a limited amount of testing with it, so far. However from what I've seen it very much duplicates my AA#5 loads within a couple tenths of a grain for both accuracy as well as velocity.

Enjoy it seems to be very good stuff at a rather reasonable price (as powder prices go these days).
