I inherited this "target" pistol. 38 Spcl, rolling block action, weird grips.
only stamps are Remington Arms Co. on the barrel.

Hope someone has info on it. What a gorgeous piece that just begs to be shot!! Taking it to the range anytime soon?

Remington made rolling block pistols as well as their rifles.

Yes just got the from t site fixed. So hopefully in the next week. I just expected it have the "keeper" between the two screws on the left side.

Remington made some rolling block pistols in 50 caliber. A lot of them were made into target pistols by their owners. I've seen a couple in their military dress but yours looks to be well made and those grips are definitely target grips. The shelf on the left side was used to stick your thumb on. Frank

I seem to recall that Navy Arms used to import Itallion made Uberti made pistols like this years ago.Robert

Navy Arms, yes but they look different, I have one in 357 magnum.138120
