but first i have to save up and spend a bundle on a top of the line

glass
mechanical rest
spotting scope
reloading components
i refuse to sell a gun to get another
so it is gonna be probably 5 years before i have that stuff

That is an excellent group, unclebill. The TC Contender continues to amaze me even though I've had mine for 20 years. I have shot similar groups (not quite as good as yours) using factory barrels in 6mm TCU, 7TCU and 30 Herrett. Lots of fun and accuracy for the money.

this barrel shoots like a house-a-fire
i am tickled it likes the cheaper 55 gr vmax (just walked in the door from buying 200 more)
but it LOVES the matchking 69 grainers

Like you I've had tremendous success with 2230 and Vmax bullets. It's my go to combo for p-dog eradication in this part of the country.
