Good day everyone:
I was wondering if anyone has tried minwax paste wax instead of jpw.
i cant seem to find any jpw but have found lots of the minwax stuff.
any input is greatly appreciated.

In the U.S. JPW is available at Lowes.

lack of availability of JPW is what finally got me to buying 45-45-10 from lars... never looked back...

Yes I have. All I can get up here in Canuk land is Minwax and it has worked just fine for my 45-45-10. Go on and give it a try.

There's nothing particularly special about JPW. You are evaporating off more than half the ingredients when you make it, anyway.

Minwax has less solvent than JPW, so you can probably use a bit less.

I used JPW before, but I am now cutting LLA with beeswax and paraffin. I use the JPW and Minwax on my furniture. JPW is mostly paraffin with a little bit of carnauba wax, IIRC. You can check the MSDS on it.

I use the minwax. The ingredents are pretty much the same.
then i use it in my 45/45/10/.1
No reason to use anything else.
