Looking for powder for "cowboy action" type loads. I shoot a 350 cast Ranch Dog bullet in my 45-70. Looking for 1200 to 1400 fps No gas checks Any ideas? Rick

Unique would be good. Someone was selling some surplus that was rated similar to Unique recently.

has the Russki Unique for sale.

I guess we had all better start preparing for the day when Milsurp and OEM Surplus goes away!

820 would also work but youd use about twice as much as you would unique.

I use a load in my Gatling Gun, 55 grs. WC-872 over 4 grs. H-4198SC with a 405 gr. bullet, kicks out around 1350 fps. WC-872 is real slow and needs the starter powder. I know i'm using a lot of powder but I bought it from Pat's reloading for $ 1.25 a pound.
