WAP
Can it be used in a 30-30-1949 marlin 336F ballard grooves,

with a Cast bullet,

for a Mouse-Fart Load
or a subsonic Load

Its been offered to me and I can not find any info

Im looking to find a SAFE starting load, for the above, mouse fart and subsonic
for 25-50 yards to punch paper

thank you for any help
and yes i know theres other powders folks use today,,
also

when i do a search here in "WAP"--I get sent to the corner with the dunce-hat saying i didn't use enough info,
when i type it out in the words "winchester action pistol powder" or any combination,
I read topics, threads, with only one word highlighted,

I now have a silver dollar size red glow on my forehead from banging it on my desk,

BUT HEY I DID A SEARCH FIRST,,,
hey even google slapped me,upside the head
and google knows everything,

figure theres gotta be someone here old enough to remember it and maybe used it,

cheers
john

I burnt up a lot of it in hand gun loads, it's burn range is about the same as HS-6 but it was very temperature/pressure/position sensitive. At least that's what I remember reading when some gun scribe or other was trying to explain why it was being discontinued or replaced.. It's been out of production for over 10 years, I don't think I'd go to the trouble to do load workup unless I had at least 8 pounds of it.

Here is a link to an older Winchester data sheet that has listings for WAP as well as some other older powders. I didn't

If it helps, WAP = Ramshot Silhouette

A technician at Ramshot confirmed that Silhouette & WAP are one and the same.

Which, of course, is always a good idea !!!!
