Is this a crimp groove on top of this lee boolit? Ya dont use if your running this boolit in 9mm anyway? This 6 hole lee can be used in 9mm and seated with gc's plain base. Its 125 gr/#90306 mold for the 6 hole version.

It appears to be originally designed for 38/357.

No you don't crimp for a 9mm, but you could use it for a 38 special or 357 mag and use the crimp there. I don't see why it couldn't be used for the 9mm.

The top groove is a crimp groove but you will not use a roll crimp in 9mm.
Lots of people on this site are using that boolit for 9mm. It was designed for use in 38 special/357mag. For 9mm use, just ignore the crimp groove, or use it as a seating depth marker.
Generally you need to seat so the crimp groove doesn't show or just barely does for 9mm. It depends on your individual gun.

Thanks. It would be good coated boolit for 9 w/gc's and w/6 hole mold be made fast. Is there a iron mold with the shape of this boolit and low grains? I like iron molds better.

There are undoubtedly iron molds available in a similar design. I am not certain who to point you to.
Not sure why you would need a gas check on this for a 9mm. Particularly if you are coating them.

I'd personally stay away form GC on a 9mm. Not that they are a bad idea, but they take time to get them on and I like to shoot more pistol rounds generally.

That appears to be a bevel base design, not gas check. I'd suggest you check out web sites like Midways and look at the cast bullet designs to see if anything strikes your fancy. If you're looking for a gas check 9mm, you'll probably be looking at a custom mould, and almost all of those are aluminum.

I plain base gas chex all boolits under my roof which is not but 380/9/45. Check out gas chexs section on cb.

That tc 120gr lyman looks good too.

That appears to be a bevel base design, not gas check..

For the record, the recent LH (Left Hand thread on the sprue plate bolt) Lee 358-125-RF dual cavity mould I purchased was not a bevel base design, but a flat plain base design. Unlike my Lee 358-158-RF.

I don't know if they are all this way, or if it's a new thing with the Lee 358-125-RF. It surprised me, as I had assumed this mould would also be a bevel base design.

My copy of the Lee 125 rf 6 cavity is also a flat base. I got it before I got my 158 grain version and was a bit surprised by the bevel on the 158. Doesn't seem to matter. They both shoot great.
