I have been to Las Vegas many times and spend little to no time pulling the one armed bandit down. On the other hand I have a one armed bandit in my gun room made by RCBS that has made me spend thousands and thousands of dollars. I don't have a gambling problem but I am a reloaderohollic. I keep thinking just $200 more and I will come out on top. Actually I did come out on top I have lots of boolits and lots of fun shooting them. I still think I put more money in my one armed bandit in my gun room than the average person does in a casino. I'm still trying to figure out how I can explain my addiction to my wife. I think I will stick with the first stage "DENIAL".

The good thing about the 1 armed bandit in the reloading room is you have a winner with every pull.

DENIAL, lol. I use this excuse for my reloading addiction. Always trying to justify in my mind the cost of the reloading things that I purchase. The wife doesn't seem to think that I have any way to justify my reloading addiction. Oh, well. I'll just keep denying it. LOL

When you think about it, we reloaders are the precursors of the current computer geeks. We just have to have the latest gizmo, gimcrack or geegaw in order to further our hobby. Yep, we had the current generation beat by a mile..........

The difference is that I get a lot more satisfaction making things go "bang" and improving my techniques/skills out in the fresh air.

Surely you realize that there are just a bunch of enablers here. I share your addiction.

Only one?? I have to use two to reload, one to lube size and one to reload. Two one armed bandits, and no addiction!! Yeah, denial is the best excuse.

Only two? Here there are 2 single stages, a turret press, a progressive and a lube sizer. I need a bigger bench.....

I agree now that I look at my bench I have 4 one armed bandits. If my wife asks I will still deny it.

Only two for one round, I meant! I've got a Hollywood Sr, Bair Single stage, Bair Brown Bear, TrueLine Jr (2), two lubesizers, and a Huntington Hand press. One TrueLine not mounted.

I'm just finishing up an inventory of all of my reloading things as well as brass - figured I should do it so if something happens to me, my wife will have an idea of what I have in it and hopefully if it's sold, she can recover a good portion of my "investment". I was literally amazed when I started adding up what I have in all of it - which originally was started to "save money" on ammunition! :-)

I don't know which is the worst - a gambling addiction or a reloading addiction! But, at least when the day is done and you've pulled the "one arm bandit" in the reloading room - you have something to show for it! I guess we all have the "addiction" - but, hey, it's a "hobby". It could be worse . . you could have blown the money you put into your reloading things actually gambling or by parking yourself on a barstool every night on the way home from work. I've been married 43 years and my wife and I have always encouraged each other in our "hobbies" - and we enjoy seeing the other one having fun - so I guess I have it pretty good and I bless the day I married such a fine lady. And . . she's a "knitter" . . . need I say more? LOL

My wife says my loading keeps me out of trouble. Has never complained about cost said it was cheap compared to my drag racing.
And like someone said the greatest fear is she will sell it for what you said you paid.

After a hard day on the farm I will typically do something reloading related in my man cave if I need to or not. The SWMBO knows that it's best to leave me be until I come back inside. I'll be human again and stress-free for the rest of the evening.

Never thought of my presses and sizers as 1-armed bandits but I must admit that I have enough equipment to open a reloading casino. A man can never have too many tools.

Well today one of them took my money. We ate lunch at Sunset Station and I dropped a whopping $10 before we left. That's my whole gambling debt so far in 2015.

The one armed bandit in Vegas got nothing from me.

With EVERY pull? For me, ALMOST every pull. Gremlins once in a while.

Some of mine are on one side of the reloading room. The rest are on the opposite so I don't have to see all of 'em at once. Does that help the addiction?
