Yesterday afternoon I was coming up the lane when this unfortunate rock chuck crossed my path. By the time I got the pickup stopped it was at 50 yards and going. It must have gotten curious, at approx. 75 yards it stood up in the grass...Oops. I was using storebought ammo. PPU .38 LRN 158 grn. It was the first time I've bought ammo in longer than I care to remember, but my new mold has yet to arrive. After helping friends demo an old house for most of the day it was a good ending.137314

Thought those old fashioned lead round nose bullets in a .38 special could not kill anything.

What a classic way to dispatch. Gotta love when they stop to make sure you're not chasing them anymore.

man I never see any look back.
they see me at 300 yds and are movin, it was the prompt to buy that 220 swift, and start load development for the 25-06 with varmint bullets.

Here in Pa all you have to do is whistle ( ground hogs are jokingly called whistle pigs here ) they stand right up and look at you when you whistle. lol
