Hey all, not sure if this is where we post them, but first .460's aging out now. A few hundred, with another 700 or so ready to cast from my stash (I have a lot more ww, just looking for more Pb to blend with it to take me out to a few 1000).

These were sized and gc'ed at .460 in the Lee, without a hitch, and I'll lube in an RCBS (hopefully, looking for a used one now) at .461.

Nice looking first boolits! If you want to increase the boolit size just a bit, you'll have to add more antimony and/or tin.

Thanks guys. Yodog, I did think to do that - Tom mentioned hardball would get me to .46125, and No. 2 to .46075. My bore slugs out at .458, and partially because I couldn't find any .461 dies (now I know, never a good reason, when you can sand them out), I decided on bringing them to .460. A lot of it for me is also just sourcing stuff. Getting ww at about $0.35 a pound right now, though pure lead is harder to come by.

The only thing I can see wrong with your first bullets is there isn't enough of them! Nice job. They look perfect.

Thanks very much for such positive feedback guys, from this community especially this means a lot. I've learned so much in such a short time and I owe quite a debt of thanks to many folks here.

Another casting day ahead - hand lubed a few, enough to realize...I'm a fan of Ben's Red, just not so much all over my finger, lol. May try pan lubing, but I think I'd like to LAM. Can't wait to load these up with some IMR 4198 and chrony them...!
