When I got into the caliber in 1990, there was no "Starline"--it was either Fiocchi 30 Mauser, or do without. I reformed 500 9mm Win Mag cases into 30 Mauser/7.62 x 25 Tokarev, and it was about as labor-intensive a project as I ever care to undertake.

Some folks reform 223 cases into 7.62 x 25 successfully. I don't like "pregnant guppy" aspect the cases take on after a .378" case is fired in a .391" chamber. They do fire, function, and extract though.

With the excellent Starline brass available now--and the white-box WW ammo at a half-decent price, and having decent brass--the thought of reforming 7.62 x 25 cases out of something else holds little charm for me. Been there/done that/got the T-shirt.
