Got some WSL I haven't used in awhile, thought I'd burn it up on some .38 spl's
try out my new cast boolits out of my 38-44 HD. Anyone got any load data for WSL? The particular loads I'm looking for are , for a .38spl. 125 gr. and 158 gr. cast boolits
Thanks

hi ive been useing WSL in the 45 acp for years its super accurate in all of my 45, from winchesters reloading manual there is no data for wsl but by checking charge weights verses chamber pressure & velocity of other cases the charge weight should be simmilar to but less than 231 [158 gr lead 4.0 231 for 745 fps 13,600 psi ] 4.5 231 158 gr lead 830 fps at 15,800 psi

That was what I was thinking around, I believe, years ago I've even loaded it up to 5.0 grs with a 158 lead boolit. I've just purchased a used S&W 38-44, real goog shape, I know these guns were made to push the .38 spl. envelop quite a bit. I've had guys tell me that they were getting 1200 fps from a 158 gr boolit out of there's. Thanks for re-enforcing my assupmtions.... A guy's gotta have somewhere to work-up from.
