I know this isnt in the spirit of this forum but, I have a question.
My daughter bought a NEF 20ga single (used) for a house gun. She took it out to our range and found that it would'nt fire, she said there were no marks at all on the primer.
I haven't had one of these and it will be a couple months before I get home again. Is there common fireing pin problems with the NEF.

Thanks fellas, transfer bar, seems to be first response of everyone I talk to.
I'll get her on the phone and check it out.

Yea, its probably the transfer bar. They break when you dry fire those things. I haven’t changed one in years, but there was some little trick to getting that thing back together. I think that I had to make some little retainer tool out of a paper clip or a pin or something. If you don’t figure out the little assembly trick, it can drive you mad for hours at a time. My little brother was about ready to throw the darn thing in the trash when I wandered in & started to help him figure it out.

These should help you through disassembly & reassembly if you do it yourself -

Just ignore the parts about the trigger work.
