I just recieved my 500 115gr Hi-Tek boolits from the GoodOlBoy support auction and they look great! These are from a mold with no lube grooves but I don't know much beyond that. I've been following Hi-Tek for a few weeks now and would love to switch all my pistol stuff to that instead of lube-sizing...to the point that I've been calculating re-sale on my pistol molds to convert to coating-specific molds. Who knows if I'll ever do it.

It looks like the general consensus is to start with cast loads for the boolit weight and style and work up from there. Is that a pretty safe starting point? I can't imagine that Hi-Tek is tough enough to start with plated or jacketed data.

Use normal cast bullet data.
What gun and powder you using?

Hi-Point pistol, Hi-Point carbine, and LC9. Occasionally my dad's XD9 or mom's S&W 3913.

I have many different pistol powders on hand since I have grabbed what I can, when I can over the last 2 years. I shouldn't have any problem finding data for 115 cast with my ingredients.

My pet load for the 115gn RN is 4.4gn W231.
This works great in G17, G34, Springfield 1911 and a mate's XD.
