At the recent Az G&F Outdoor Expo I had the opportunity to shoot a full sized Glock with a reflex sight. I was totally impressed to say the least. Being 64 with ageing eyesight I haven't shot any handgun as well as I did the Glocks in years.

Now that I'm totally hung-up on putting a reflex sight on my favorite shooters, pistols and revolvers. I'm wondering if anybody can offer any advice or how-to's on mounting a reflex sight on a pistol slide or the top strap on a S&W revolver. Pictures will be most sincerely appreciated.

If you're really serious about shooting a reflex/head-ups display red dot on a pistol - you should consider milling the slide. IMO, second best method is drilling the slide for a scope mount and use the ultra dot.

Revolver's are a little tougher, as everything sits a little high on them and you really have to practice to be consistent with them relative to finding the dot fairly quickly.

I had my slide milled by Mr Bowie several years ago and use a Leupold Delta Point with the 7.5 moa delta. I use the tip of the delta as my aiming point when doing target work and you can use the delta for fast shooting at moving targets with pretty good success compared to iron sights for ole timers.
