It does look well made and thought out, but cost + overpriced shipping = ouch.

Well, I guess it's a nice box and a decent price if you must have a box for your scale and you can't build your own.
Im not a cabinet maker but I have have built some decent boxes for micrometers using that cheap 'hobby' wood from Ace. Cost about half as much and they love inside my tool box, so they don't have to be heirloom quality.
