THOMPSON - Thomas G. Of Newfane, formerly of Lockport, husband of Deborah West Thompson entered into rest on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at home. He was born in Fairport, NY on August 19, 1947; son of the late Norman and Inez Holtz Thompson. Tom served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1969 as a paymaster and spent 1 year in Vietnam. He last worked as a printer for Zenger in Tonawanda, NY. Tom volunteered at Red Cross and loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed photography, cars and ham radios. Father of Stacey (Christopher) Plewinski of Williamsville, NY and Sarah (Scott) Taggart of Niagara Falls, NY; brother of Corliss (Kevin) Vonn of Red Creek, NY; grandfather of Lauren, Sonya, Alexia, Taylor, Ryan and Mackenzie; brother-in-law of Jackie (George) Rittberg of Macedon, NY; also survived by several nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
