I'm having a case trimmer gauge being custom made by Lee as they don't regularly make one in this caliber. They want to know what overall case length to make it to . The Lyman book has an overall length of 1.075 with a trim to length of 1.065. Isn't this a little excessive trim? I was thinking of having it made to 1.070. Any suggestions with this? Thanks for any help you can give. Tom
I trim mine to 1.07 but I don't have to trim very often.

Trimming .010" shorter than max is the accepted tolerance.

I'm with Lloyd; haven't found it necessary to trim a handgun case anymore. If you really feel the need I would make a cast of the chamber and let the chamber length determine my "trim to length". Most often "trim to" in manuals is way to short for most factory chambers
