Hey all, I'm in need of some help determining what this is, and figured I'd turn to the knowledge base here.

I was cleaning out some boxes in the basement of my folks place, getting my mother ready to move I with us, and found a box of gun parts. For the most part, I knew what they were, but haven't been able to figure this one out.

I know it is a peep/aperture site of some sort, but can't determine the maker or the gun it belongs to.

Any help and insight would be appreciated. The only marking is a "Made in Italy" on what I believe is the base.

Thank you.

What is it and the base made out of? Aluminum, Steel or Plastic?

It looks like it isn't designed for much recoil, so maybe an airgun sight?

Plastic.

The entire assembly is plastic.

Hadn't even considered an airgun.

Appears to be a target aperature sight.

Edit: airgun is a very good possibility being plastic.

It looks like plastic. I'm guessing Robert is correct on the airgun sight.

It looks like an air rifle sight. I do not recognize the logo and .45 caliber seems big for and air gun.

I suppose the base and site aren't actually matched for one another.

I had something like that on an old crossbow.

That is a sight put out by Daisy years ago, I have 2 of them. They aren't a bad sight for an air gun.

Don't know what the base is for tho.

I hace seen that Lgo trademark in the circl e before I just cant remeber where. I believe it is from an air rifle or lower end 22 target rifle. It may be a Gehman logo. Maybe from an RWS 45 pellet rifle?

Yes for the base only.

Thanks everyone.

Now it is time to see which one of the air rifles it will fit.

You have a Model 1806 Composite Diopter Rear Sight... made by Marksman Products especially for their little break-bbl junior target rifle. They say it will also fit the Daisy 880 and the Crosman 2200 Air Rifles. With a little file work it can be made to fit a Gamo. Lengthens the sight radius, but you'll want to open up the diopter with a drill bit.
