Hi:

A friend of mine just gave me a Pacific Press. What brand of shell holder's will fit this press.

Thanks,
Terry

My Pacific C press uses standard shell holders.

Mine too, the shellholder is held in by a set screw. On some (most) of the older Pacific C frame presses there was no shellholder, you had to change the ram to change cases.

The good news is there are a lot of the rams out there, either on ebay or at gun shows. I think CH4D still carries them new.

If I were to buy a new ram, I would get one that takes shellholders, instead of having several different rams laying about for one press.

What type is it, Super C? If it is a C-type press then RCBS ram #10-9109 might fit it. This ram accepts modern snap-in shell holders and costs under $40 shipped, I believe. This ram fit my old Echo C press. Huntington Die Specialties should have them in stock.

Mine is like Mk42gunner's, normal shellholders held in with a set screw.

I inherited a Super C from my Pop that came with 3 rams. 1 each cut to accept .38 Special and .45 ACP and another that used the universal shell holders retained by a spring same as most modern presses. I also received another Super C in a lot trade that had the ram that took the universal shell holders and used the set screw. Apparently there was a bit of transition going on in that time frame.

Terry,
They had several different models, which one you got? Photo will get I. D.
Mine is a Pacific Super C, it takes a standard snap-in shell holder. No screw required to hold in place. CH4D makes conversions, screw-in to snap-in adapter and even replacement rams.
Show us what you got!
