I picked this one up a while back, she was a little rough around the edges, with a broken drop tube and a cracked reservoir. I lightly cleaned it with a scotch brite pad and put on a new reservoir & drop tube. Now to make it ahome on the bench, oh and clean up/bolt down the Hollywood Senior I got too :-)
Just thought I'd share

Looks real nice! I've got an old Redding that has served me well for over 40 year that could use a new drop tube and reservoir. Where did you get the parts and how much?? Thanks, Rod

Grant
where did you get the replacement reservoir? I have one that has served me well for many years but has developed a crack at the top and may need to be replaced if it gets worse.

Thanks guys, midway stocks the parts, I got the 7.5" reservoir, they have a standard sized one (shorter) and a 10" also, and you can get them with a red rubber-looking cap too. Prices range from $10-15 or so, I think the drop tube was $5 ish
They even have a baffle for it but I decided I'd just make one, I'm stubborn.

Nice work all around. It must not have been TOO rough if it looks that good without repainting and the decal is still that nice. Now it's ready to go another few decades.

I have a Redding powder charger that I bought back in 1978 it had a plastic powder holder but if finaly broke off.
I got a piece of aluminum tubing turned it down where it fit put a couple of holes for the set screws to hold it been using it everysince.

I've been using one of those for over 50 years. Only recently replaced the original reservoir. Unfortunately the original top was lost many years ago.

I have 2 of these Redding measure that desperately needs restoring, probably going to be a project for the weekend.

Sinclair offers a bottle adaptor that takes Hogden powder bottle or 16oz Nalgene bottle.

As for drop tubes, does any know if aftermarket drop tube are available for these older Redding measures?

I'd call Sinclair to inquire about those after market drop tubes. They've been helpful to me on this issue.

Why aftermarket? Redding drop tubes are available

Mostly to do with shipping cost or if parts are in back order.

BTW, liked what you did. These old Reddings are the only drum type I've tried that meters well with small charge of flake powder.
