I was recently given a Rapine 460500 SC mold without sprue plate. Anyone know of a source for a replacement sprue plate?

chuebner if you traced out the top of the mould and sent it that red river rick that hangs out here he could help you or get a hold of the rapine factory and they would help you.
Get her going and tell us haow well she works.

Rapine molds was still in business until fairly recently and may still be.Although I did hear it was for sale. The owner is up in his late seventies and wants to slow down I guess.

Charlie,

It shouldn't be too hard to make one. The only Rapine mold I have is a double cavity; the sprue plate is made from 1/8" flat stock and actually looks quite crude. I think you could make one with a hacksaw and a center drill or countersink for the sprue hole.

Thanks for all the replies. I spoke with the owner yesterday and he said he would scrounge around for a plate. And yes, he has the business up for sale for anyone interested.
