I've seen a few bring that much, but worth it? no military markings..

I have delt with that guy and he has a fantastic collections of old and seldom seen reloading stuff

So I take it to release the bullets you just flip the mold over and tap on the block a couple times. Easy to see why we do see this mold design anymore, very limited application.

With a good mill and set up that mould wouldnt be to hard to replicate. Im wondering if the bullets drop out or if there is an evector pin set up on the bottom. Its a paper patch mould as grease grooves couldnt release from it.

There are pics of the bottom of the mold in the ad. Does not look like there is any sort of ejection pins.

Even a normal two-block square mould with a sprue plate will drop smooth (paper patch) bullets out without opening the blocks.

For someone putting together something like a mint cased Sharps set up in one of the more rare models it's probably worth the 2 grand. It may even be worth it for an investment as it seems original Sharps stuff never goes down.

I have paper patch molds that when getting up to temperature that a lot of times just inverting the mold they will just slip out of the cavity.

It needs more heat, casting way to cold :-)

I've heard a little about Sharps moulds but thought they were single-cav. Interesting indeed.

If that mould can be verified as genuine Sharps it is well worth that amount of money.
I didn't see any Sharps Rifle Co. markings on the mould so don't know how it could be verified?

Nah, that's where the value lies. It makes corrugated bullets.
