'New' Walther mod 53 air rifle

Total impulse purchase at a small show yesterday. This is my first air rifle since my Daisy '94 when I was a kid.
I gather these were made in the '50's or early 60's?? Very little info on the web that I can find.
Walther mod 53, .177cal pellet rifle. Neat peep sight on rear, hooded post in front.
Trigger is great, cocking force not bad, wood and metal look brand new.
It just sung out to me, "Take me home..."
Any info anyone has is most appreciated, maintenance, anything.
Also, anyone want to hazard a guess at a normal price for one of these?

Very nice score. I am not knowledgable about the Walthers, but the build quality is obvious in your pictures! There is a vintage aiggun forum that may have some info, I will update this with link if I can find it again.
