This is a 72 caliber under hammer in the works. Still need to put sights on it. It has Forsyth rifling with a twist rate about 1 in 32, 11.5" of rifled barrel. Weight is 5 pounds but I may take a little of the barrel length as it seems to be muzzle heavy. The ball above the barrel is .710, the other one is .457 for comparison. And that's a 1911 below. Plan is to start with about 20 grains of powder and work up slow. Last one I made took two hands at 45 grains shooting a hollow base wad cutter that looked like a small chainsaw piston and weighed over 600 grains.

Neat! Gotta love interesting projects. It would be good to see the look on the mugger's face when you pulled that out.....

All a mugger will see is a bright red light from the 1911, it's got more shots.

Good morning
Now that is a "handgun" of the first degree ! I am still working on a shoulder fired rifled 12 bore front stuffer. Maybe I have my sights set to high.

Did you make that action yourself? I want one for a smaller caliber, as in .45.

The trigger, hammer and main spring are the same as what is on the H&A but have been modified a bit because they were damaged. The breach plug ( containing the hammer, trigger, nipple and springs) was made from 12L14 as was the barrel. The hammer , trigger and springs can be purchased from Deer Creek Products 765-525-6181. The screws, barrel and breach are made here.
