I know some of you fellers are looking for entry level 1911's and just got a flyer from Cabelas and they have R.I. 1911/.45acp's on sale from Mar. 26 to April 6 at the Hamburg, Pa. store and the Christiana, De. stores for the above mentioned $399. Not the best price I've seen (I believe Sarco has them for $350) but still not too bad. I don't know if they'd ship them to your local Cabelas for that price, might be worth a call. I have one in 9mm. and am well satisfied with it and have fired my range buddies G.I. one in .45acp. His shot everything I could scrape off the reloading bench including rounds that wouldn't feed thru my Remington R1 or the Taurus 1911 or the Springfield! I'm just sayin' is all. I don't work for Cabelas. Baker in a Mom&Pop grocery store. Audie...the Oldfart ..

Thanks.for the heads up, my brother is looking for one. If they would honor/offer that price at the MI store, I've heard more.good than bad about these.

They are easy to fix if they don't "plunk" too! Throat, crown & polish package cures them like RIGHT NOW! Ask me how I know! :bigsmyl2:

We've sold a lot of these at the shop I work at, only one complaint and that was for a low shooting gun. No complaints about ftf , function, etc. And all that I have handled have had decent trigger pull. One gentleman was so impressed with his gun he came back the next week and purchased another in the compact version....

I got the flyer for the Dundee location last week and they were in the ad. I was thinking about one of these but then there is the savage axis and then there is the.... Too many guns not enough funds.

I'm down to one, now, but I've been impressed with them for awhile. Even if you got one off of the 'net you would still have to pay a FFL a transfer fee, and when you add shipping, it's pretty much a wash.

I have four RIA 1911's, and I think they're great pistols for the price! I don't need high-end Wilsons, Browns, Baers or Chens, my RIA's shoot better than me and I don't have to baby them.

They keep creeping up though, I think I paid $269 for my first one at a local farm & ranch store.

Great price for in store and maybe rack some points and discounts too. My favorites are the nickel 38 super and the 10mm Ria. Both shoot cast like a dream
