Just got a 12 gauge shotgun made by CBC in Brazil, looks solid and tight a little surface rust. The model is 151 and importer was Spesco. Anyone have experience with these. Thanks, Tim:bigsmyl2:

I have no idea if it is the same gun, but I had a 12 ga that opened by pulling the front of the trigger guard to release the barrel latch.

I will tell you what I remember of that gun, it was 1982 or 83 and I only owned it for about two weeks.

1. I paid $15.00 for it.
2. It locked okay and didn't unlock by itself.
3. The stock had a lot of drop. (It made a dogs hind leg look straight.)
4. It was very light.
5. Due to no.'s 3 and 4, it kicked a lot.
6. It did have a good round tight pattern.
7. I sold it for $25.00.

That's all I have,

Robert

If it is the same gun as Mk42gunner mentioned it is a solidly built gun. They were sold under many names. A friend of mine had one in 20 ga. and wanted to know if I could build a pistol cal. rifle on it.
I was able to buy a prechambered barrel from Numrich that was from a IMI Timberwolf rifle in 44 magnum. I turned it to a close fit to the 20 ga. bore and chamber dimensions and epoxied it in as a permanant liner and welded up the extractor and recut it to fit the 44's rim.
It turned out great and shoots really accurate. The gun is a good design, the frame is made from milled steel instead of cast iron like most low priced single shots and the extractor is very positive as it cams the cartridge out of the chamber a slight ammount before the ejector pops so no stuck casings. It also has really nice looking Brazilian hardwood stocks, much nicer looking than the plain Birch wood most have.
Clean it up and I think you will like it. Like all light weight singles in 12 ga. it will recoil quite a bit so not really a good starter gun for a small kid.
