09-124-RN questions...

i picked up a rcbs 9mm mold from midway a few weeks back, just had time to get it out this evening.... while i was cleaning it, i noticed it look like it had been cut for gas checks, and then had the gas check removed...almost???? i checked the box and it was #82062 like i wanted, and the mold was labeled 9mm-124-rn... i cast a few just to see how they cast... here's a few pics... anyone had this sort of thing happen? or what i can do about it?

dink - If it were mine, I would get the "gas check" part removed. I'm sure there are people on this board that could easily do that for ya. If not, you could get with Erik at Hollowpoint mold service. I think that's the name. They say he does terrific work. That should be a good boolit for your 9mm. Good molds, the RCBS units.

And why don't you just send it back? Send note as to why it is defective.
