You could put it in a vise and cut it with a hacksaw--spread some newspaper under it to catch the sawdust.

I have scored it round with a hatchet and broke it against a sidewalk edge by stepping on the scored line.

A course blade in a sawzall or even a hacksaw will work fine. If exact size doe's not matter, Lino is pretty easy to break. And yeah, rig some way to catch the chips.

I usually hold it up in the air and smack it with a hammer. If it's Lino it will break.

For relatively accurate cuts.......sawzall and course blade.

For "whatever" cut, hit it with a hammer or axe.

I'm a simple guy. Weigh the bar. Divide it in pieces w/ a ruler & Sharpie. Hold it in the pot until the desired amount melts. It only takes seconds, the melt point of Lino is quit low.

You might get a little more control of the line where it breaks using a chisel (cold not wood) when resting on a piece of lumber and striking it. But that stuff is brittle enough to just snap off a piece.
