After much reading I have determined that ;
A I knew about half of what it seems like I should have and
B Tool making isn't my thing unless it is purely function over form.

So 1st there are just over 40 threads some over 200 posts on moon clip loaders/unloaders. A friend recently wrapped a 4 iron around a tree so a golf club handle was a natural solution to the demooning tool ,free plus 15 minutes of cut grind, debur and slash my thumb . The tool however works like a champ and makes short work of unloading and it wasn't a $40-80 must have . The loader is next but as of now for me only the 1st round is a pain by hand .

Since I have a couple of other 45s it seems natural to use their moulds.......
or not the 454 252 SWC and 255 RNFP just take up alot of case and the 45-200 SWC....... it shoots fine but seems like a waste of all that room for long seating. I like all 3 with 5.5 Unique that makes a nice plinker with the 200 gr boolit and a rather impressive thump with the 25? Boolits (262 and 265 ) . Why not a Keith type long nose of 250-260. Other than the 97 yr since the Smith left the mill. I prefer to be able to tune 1 load to a hunting load for every thing . It seems like a Keith style SWC would free up some case space and be a happy long nosed boolit with those long throats without having to overwork the "N" frame, keeping in mind that this is a special occasion gun not a daily driver.

Last little bit.
This late production, September 1918, pistol seems to have been a "Wednesday" gun . .451 bbl no apparent choke, .452 < .453 throats (all 6 are the same size) it doesn't look to have been worked on ,even the grip screw isn't beat up. The gap is is tiny ,eyeballed next to the Rugers I'd guess down around .030-035.

I am skeptical that yours has that tight of throats. I have never read or seen
another 1917 Colt or S&W with that tight throats. Certainly not impossible, but
this is not a simple measurement, often results are not accurate.

How did you measure? Use a pin guage or remove the cyl and drive a soft .458
or larger soft lead slug through and measure with a MICROMETER that can read
to .0001"

We often have reports from folks using a caliper and making inside measurement
of throats, with very inconsistent results. First, calipers are good for +/- 0.0015 and
second, they are not very consistent for inside measurements of holes.

Most 1917 S&W and Colts tend to run real big, mine are .454 to .456, reports of
even larger throats are out there. Your gun may have that tight but it seems
unlikely.

Generally, best accuracy is obtained with a boolit matching the throat diam,
but every gun is a thing unto itself, so all rules can be and are broken.

I couldn't find the 454 RB I had pushed through but I was able lay hands on an unsized 45-200 that drops at 455 . As you can (I hope) it is at .453 on my medium quality 1988 Craftsman 0-1" micrometer. The feeler is showing .012 for cylinder gap and .014 over an Auto Rim case for head space ,clipped ACP is somewhere between .013 that goes clear through and .014 that hangs up just short of clearing the heads.
I feel extremely lucky to have found such an exceptional specimen of S&Ws WWI production.

I shot some over the Chrony this morning . HOLY MOLY! Let's turn the fire down !

The 255s are about where I though they would be maybe a little bit faster but the 45-200 is way out of the expected range even for a 5" 1911 much less a revolver clocking 1030-1040 so maybe I have a fast Chrony (if so I've had 2) or a hot batch of powder. As the Speer 12th edition shows 770 for the 200gr and a start load of 5.8 at 770 for their 250 LSWC . Lyman 48 shows a 200 very similar topping out at 980 with 2 full gr more and only 830 in AR brass in a model 25.

At least it'll wreck what ever it runs into.

There's absolutely no way 5.5 of Unique will send a 200 SWC at 1040 fps. Something is off.

I believe this particular pistol has been worked over but I concur. The drops were checked in this load every 5 and were 0 to -.2 of 5.5 . The chambers are quite tight as are the throats and cylinder gap. Both Chrony chronographs have shown every load in every gun, except an XD 40 ,150 to 200 fps faster than book numbers.

I really expected to see 850 and 750 .

That gun does not match the reality of other 1917s in any way that I
can see. Rare gun.
