I've looked at #22401 at roughly $61.99 and the RCBS # 22407 at about $49.95 I can see from the specs that the 22407 is a small base die which is great for an AR-15. I cannot however find out if the #22401 is a small base or not and what is the difference between the two 300 blackout die sets?

Secondly... I'm looking at the #11103 and the #11107 .223/5.56 dies same questions.

the 401 is standard I use it in my bolt gun.
I dunno about the 223's for sure mine is marked 11101 and it's standard too.
I use it in both my 223 bolt gun and in my AR rifles without issue.
funny you should ask too they were sitting right on top of the other on a different shelf than my other dies.

I've had people tell me to purchase the small base dies. So, either will work ok?

No small based dies needed. Standard dies work fine in an AR. I have some with fairly tight chambers too. These will work fine for you.

I ended up purchasing a set of Redding 80111 series A dies for the .223/5.56

I still have not purchased anything for the 300 blackout. I've read a bunch of reports from people purchasing different brands and some say to look for a die with a weep hole in it to vent any excess lubricant.

Any ideas on this?

I ended up purchasing RCBS dies from Midway. I purchased the 22401 as the reviews I read considered these to be better than the 22407 dies. Time will tell.

I couldn't find any reviews on the 401's. I purchased the 407 due to the price. I didn't see that they were SB.
