I've got a contender carbine in 7TCU and I've been searching for a load with the 160 gr. siloughette (sp) bullet that would shoot well in it. Well 18.8 gr of IMR 4198 seems to be the right load. I've only tested it at 25 yards so I need to take it out to 100 to see what it will really do. But I think there is some hope. The group the I shot in testing was an 8 shot group that left one ragged hole smaller than a nickel. Think it will hold up at 100?

I used to use 20 gr. H4895 for chicken, pig, and turkey. 24 gr. for Rams. No use beating yourself up on close targets. Shot a couple of P-40's with them.
