The only piece of used equip. that I know of that draws full retail value, is the Star lubesizer, most other stuff is around 50% depending on condition.

Depends entirely on the condition of the piece of equipment and the work involved in getting it back into working condition. Like new, well taken care of equipment is generally worth what it was new, with free shipping tossed in. Excellent or restored to like new condition equipment falls into somewhere around 80-90% of new value. Good used, cleaned up equipment should be worth around 70% of new. Used, dirty and condition hard to determine, around 50% of new value. Used, rusty, dirty equipment maybe 30%. A lot of the price determination is created one simple factor: Can it be immediately put into service and/or what will it take to get the piece of equipment into service?

I agree condition condition condition, set price followed by how desirible the item is, example the Lyman 450 do have a following but not like the Star.

Best bet is to post pictures and ask for opinions, you may get some serious offers as well!

About 1/2 of what you feel they are worth has been my experience unless you are buying the about 30% above retail :bigsmyl2:

Hollywood presses seem to have increased in value greatly over the last 10 years or so.
