Have a Marlin 56 Levermatic Need great repairman to fix stock

My Levermatic has a chip/splinter in the forehand and I am looking for someone who is very skilled and knowledgeable in such repairs if any of you might be able to make a recommendation. I would really appreciate it very much. Below is a picture of the problem needing repaired. Thanks again, Scott
