We had a show this last weekend. Been to a couple of the cowboy shoots lately so was looking for a lever gun I could use. Fellow I've done business with before had a marlin 94 in 44 mag, this is good cuz I have a 44 vaquero & a 44 open top. $425 & the deals done. Less then a half hour later I sell a 20 ga double for $400. Add in the 6 bucks to get in the door means I've got $31 in the marlin.

Now the marlin forearm has been reshaped to look like the early ones, wood stripped & sanded waiting for the stain to dry, metal cleaned bbl slugged 0.424/0.429. Fired case ID is 0430. Not a bad weekend. BTW, this thing will feed & eject 44 Russians like it was made for them.

That's silly, I'd go $35 sight unseen! ;-) Congrats, haven't seen a 94 of that vintage for quite some time at any price.

425 was a steal! I've been told by a Marlin collector to buy any 44 or 357 you see for under 500 bucks. Nice grab!

In these parts, a 1894-.357, pre safety, 1984 year or older, $800-900, goes fast, on the online auctions also.

The 20 wasn't free but I did break even on it. This is the first one I've seen in awhile around here, Most all the others were stainless with safety. #'s on this date to 1981, has some bluing wear from a red rider rifle rack & handling, action was very clean inside & bbl in great shape, should make a good cowboy gun. Might start looking for a little brother for it, .357 to go with the other vaquero.
