Took the plunge and ordered Corbin swage dies for 45. Just curious as the say they are made but have a few week delay because they need to "fit" them.

What do they mean?

I'll go out on a limb here. Corbin probably has the majority of die bodies in stock with standard bores. Based on the caliber the die bores and punches then need to be machined and fitted to the caliber ordered. I have several calibers in H-style dies and I'm amazed at how close the punches fit the dies.
If Dave is only stating several weeks your lucky. It could be 6-12 months depending on the market.
Dave's quality is excellent.
Good Luck

The die quality is good. The time from order to delivery varies widely.

Could be weeks, could be years.

In the late 80's when I ordered mine it took about 9 months to get the dies in. Press, core molds, lube, and jackets all got lonely waiting......

I agree with this. For 45, he probably has a bunch of 0.451" and does a finish hone to 0.452 or 0.454 or 0.458, as needed.

What nose did you get? I have a reloading set of 45 from Dave and I am thinking about ditching it and getting either an s die or walnut hill in a 45 ogive

RCE showed an 18 degree truncated cone one day on his site in the "in stock" part of the site. I was on the phone the next day asking "how do I remit payment?" I'm now at least 3000 rounds into this die set so far..

.007 would be quite a hone job

Got the dies.

Next question.

The hollow point punch is off center a bit. Does this matter?

Off center? By how much?

The copper color is not rust.

Nothing to worry about, the top punch should be adjusted to float, that is adjust it to depth to swage out the core in the jacket without fully tightening it in the top punch holder. PM me if you have any questions.
