My shotgun manual is a early lyman (possibly) their first one. What recommendations do you have for a slug manual and is there any powder currently available that would work with 12 and 16 ga?.(magnum velocity not needed).

easy recommendation to start here:

some wishful thinking on their hypervelocity lbt wad loads, but a good place to start.

+1 Not sure there are any other options, but it is useful.

I will add my recommendation for the BPI slug manual, though recipes are mostly limited to BPI components. It is still useful information though.

I also recommend the newer Lyman Shotshell Reloading Manual and Reloading For Shotgunners. Both have decent slug loading sections in them.

Another good source of load info is BPI's "Load of the Week Archives. They have a number of slug load recipes and all free on their site.

thanks, I thought the new lyman might be worthwhile and I wanted to make sure of the BPI before I ordered.
