Well, there was standing room only at the range today, so I thought I would put the dress grips on two of my Smiths. The first two pics are of my Model 1955 25-2 with the target grips, the second with her Sunday Go To Meetin' Mother Of Pearls! The third is of my 629 Classic with Ebony grips. It's the first time both guns have worn their fancy grips & I was very pleased with the way that they look!

I have a 29-5 and love it. It wears boring pachmyer grips.

We dress up our handguns with fancy grips for no other reason that we do. I lean toward fancy walnut, mesquite and ivory.

I just got some stag for my 25-2 and the M28-2.

I use the ugly Hogues because they work best for me!

The Hogues work well for me for the big N frame Smith. But I really like nice wood.

All of my N Frame Smiths are old school with the original target grips. I am used to them and like the way they look. I was never a fan of the full length shroud as I felt it added unnecessary weight to the balance of the revolver. Just something personal, but I would concede that some shooters would favor it. LLS

Here are my 45 ACPs with stag and grip adapters. (By the way, one is not a S&W.)

135508I like a pretty set of grips. They're not always the best for shooting purposes, but a fine gun with good looking stocks increases my pride of owner ship. That's my S&W 44 Special above with a set of faux ivory magna style grips.

Nice gun! Me too! Your can always put your shooting grips back on in a few minutes before you go pop off some caps!

I have found the grip adapters, like the ones in my photo, make the magna grips a nice handful and good for shooting.

Even though for all round shooting I pefer hogue there's just something about a wheel-gun all fancied up that captures my heart. Thanks for sharing your beauties
