I recently got some old NORMA 77 grain bullets from another member. The lightest bullet data I can find is for a 95 grainer. Can I just start with that data and work up the charges until I find the sweet spot while watching for signs of over pressure? I will be using Varget.

I think you left something out.

You can safely use load data for the heavier bullet to load for the lighter bullet. So yes, you can use 95 gr data for the 77 gr.

I've shot the Norma 77 gr in the 6.5x55 Swede m/96 with 29" of barrel. The velocity on paper is stunning though accuracy isn't real great with a 7.8" twist. They were meant to be loaded for a practice type load in 6.5x55.
