Looks good!!! It looks pretty mean, even just sitting on top of a Bunn, but it's a whomper at 415gr. :-D

I may as well show this too. I edited Robs contact information out. This was from the good old days!

That looks very similar to a Mountain Mold I had cut years ago. Mine is a touch heavier. It shoots right around an inch at 100 yds. from both a Marlin Guide Gun, and my Sharps repro. And Goodsteel, yes, it worked just dandy on the moose my brother tried it on. Approx 100 yds. on a trot, 1 shot angled behind the shoulder, broke the off shoulder and continued on. About a 2" hole all the way through. Not a big moose at 600#, but it did a cartwheel and never moved. His are loaded to just above 1,800 fps.

I love my Applegate mold, they are works of art and cast like a dream. I ordered mine right after I read the Ross Seyfried article in Handloader in the early 2000's. If I remember right, there was about a 6-8 month lead time. When mine was ready, I drove up to his place in Oregon from my place in northern California to get it. Rob is a class act all the way, I wish he was still making molds.
435gr 500 Linebaugh bullet.

I wish I had a few of his molds. About 10 years ago someone sent me a few of his .45 rifle bullets they cast. I really like his designs. When I emailed Applegate about some molds around the same time he pretty much told me he was never going to make molds for anyone again. I guess it was a touchy subject. Anyway- I need to measure those bullets and have some molds cut to match.

I have a 300 WFN for 45 Colt and it is a tack driver and almost casts bullets by itself.

+1 Mine is one of my favorites. My big problem is choosing whether to use the Applegate or go with the MP 45-270 SAA SWC. I love both. Glad they are different.

I was lucky to get an Applegate mold back then. 466 grains of art for a Marlin.
My mold has got a new life with Hi-Tek coating recently.
