You can use non+P 38 Spl loads to get started, and work up from there. 38 Super is rated for almost double the pressure of a 38 Spl 17,000 PSI vs. 36,500 PSI. Although the 38 Super case is slightly shorter than 38 Spl, the pressure difference between the two gives you a pretty large margin of safety in this instance. Even 38 Spl +P loads may be usable, but you need to work up from a known safe point.
A 38 Super revolver ? ?

Ben its built on a new model single six.
Very Unique !
Was there a specific reason for the chambering in 38 Super ?
Who did the work, it is obvious that it is a class act conversion.

I was gonna say - A 38 Super revolver ?? Never heard of one of those. Neat gun, however. I'm not near a manual, so - If I had to take a guess, and this is a guess, about 4 grains should make it go bang !!!

Could reach 357 mag velocities in a smaller pkg. And ........just because!lol

It looks like a Reeder. S&W also offered a 627 in 38 Super for a limited time.
FWIW, you can simply drop 38 Super ammo in a 357 gun and blaze away. 38 Super is semi-rimmed, and the tiny rim will hold the loaded cartridge in place. 357 mag guns only though, 38 Spls aren't rated for the extra pressure.

Yes it's a reeder ,I've had it for awhile and never took the time to find the right bullet and load . I'm ready to put in the time. The 358156 mould was recommended so I purchased a two banger and just cast fifty or so using straight WW. I will size to .355 and gc using the lee push through.
Check the chamber throats and size to those. The boolit should be a snug fit, easily pushed through with a little resistance.

Yep .355 pushes through nice. That's without the check.
