I have been reloading cbs for my Glock Gen 4 10mm pistol with a KKM aftermarket barrel for the last few years. I don't shoot it as much as my Glock 45s with LEE tumble lube 230gr. round nose cbs, which feed without a hitch.
The LEE Truncated cone .40 175gr and the LEE .40 SWC 175gr. tumble lube are the bullets I usually use. I have been having some failure to go all the way into battery with the LEE truncated cone bullets and have had better success with the LEE SWC tumble lube bullets. Should I go with a round nose .40/10mm design from someone like Accurate Molds to make sure it feeds flawlessly like my round nose bullets in my Glock 45s?

Anyone that has experienced this and gone to a round nose .40cal. design, please let me you know your results.

Thanks!

Have your loaded rounds passed the plunk test?

Drop them in the chamber and make sure they chamber correctly without the slide pushing them in? Right?

I'll double check that. I've noticed the bullet walls leading up to the bullet nose on the SWCs are sharper or more angled inward than the TC bullets. I may have to seat the TCs just a tad deeper and see if that helps.

Thanks!

Remove the barrel, and drop a dummy rd in the chamber.

I adjusted my LEE FCD and they are dropping in and falling out better. Still need to seat these a tad deeper. Should feed and fire through the stock barrel, if not the KKM barrel.
I'll shoot them this weekend and find out.

Thanks!

I have went thru over 15K of them in my Glock22 (storm lake) and Glock35(KKM) and the Lee 175TC works great as long as I seat them deep and they pass the plunk test. But I always have a good 10% of them that don't pass the plunk test and those I run thru by Lee factory crimp die.

Maybe the KKM throat is too tight. No issues here with the lee and both my glock 10s

Groo here
Treat like 45acp- make oal to fit mag-reduce oal to chamber flush with hood-shoot with middle load-keep reducing oal till they feed.
Some guns like them surprisingly short.
