new to casting what is the best lube for casting pistol bullets?

NRA 50/50 is the go to lube for pissol boolets but then everyone has there favorit

If your going to buy pistol lube it's very hard to beat RCBS. Dennis

Go to the links at the bottom of the page and LAR45's LsStuff.

His 50/50 is half the price of the big name brands and it has worked well for me in 357 and 44 magnums. He has some other blends that you might want to look at also.

Don't even wonder about any other lube then Lar's. You might want to try his B/A/C lube. Perfect consistancy.
The only other lubes I would consider is to make Felix lube or speed green.

The commercial stuff all seems to work ok, but why not try the Bullshop stuff? It is excellent quality and Dan is a regular poster here and an all round good guy.

got to agree with the other posters. Ive used about all of it. 5050 works fine but why pay over twice as much for it as what lars charges for the same thing. I havent tried bullshop but if its anything like his mold lube its got to work great. bottom line is it doesnt take any kind of scientific lube to work in a handgun unless your trying to push softer bullets real fast or have an out of spec gun thats prone to leading.

Daniel's Speed Green is good stuff. I've used it on full spectrum .44SPL, & full spectrum 444 Marlin cast bullet loads. VG accuracy from plinkers, to top pressure - w/ both cartridges.

In that respect, I would compare it to the performance of LBT Soft Blue.

I've got 16 tubes of Tamarac 50/50 for sale if interested for $30 shipped plus a couple bottles of NEI flux and a couple tubes of Red Rooster lube.
