Could use some help!!

I am looking at helping somebody in my town get started casting. He is a younger man (30's) and has a family of 4. He hadhunted years ago, but never shot anything, and lost interest. Recently, he hasbeen talking about hunting again, and actually took his 30-30 out last year.(He wants to take his boys when they are a bit older. Oldest is currently 7) Heis pretty much out of ammo for it. I have been kicking around the idea ofgetting him started in casting for his gun, and actually mentioned it to him.He seemed intrigued by the idea, and expressed some interest. He is currentlyworking hard on getting his house paid off, and starting his own business, andI know he does not have that much extra. 40-82 hiker has generously offered to send some lead for which I am grateful. I will be letting him use my pot, and will be helping him purchase a mold. I thought I would just share this in the off chance that somebody would have some extra 30-30 brass lying around, or 30 cal gas checks, or a die set. Again, he will be using my equipment, so he will not need to invest in that. I gave him one of my scopes to put on the rifle so he is covered there! Please feel no obligation at all!! Sounds like he has a generous friend who has given him a great head start! I gave my brother in law a complete 30-30 reloading set up since he and his wife both hunt with 30-30s. I think it has been something like 5 years and he has loaded a grand total of 1 cartridge....................................

Ok guys, I have a few pcs of brass, and some more coming, I also have a mold, a stick of lube, some boolits, some lead, and about 40-50 gas checks. So the only thing I really need yet is a die set, and possibly a few more gas checks. I would like to thank you all for your help!!! This will help GREATLY!!

Ok I should update! I cannot name who sent what, but I received lots of good help! I receives a press, a set of dies, a 150 grain lee mold, several hundred pcs of brass, app. 20 lbs lead, gas checks, some lube, and some boolits. Many many thanks to all who have contributed. The only thing we could use yet is a lee 311 push through sizing die!

I hate asking this . My wonderful wife she has the biggest heart. She is disabled and loves to shoot. I got everything to cast I needed for her 9 mm. But she hunts with a 30-30 . The big heart part is I talked about a freechex for when we could afford to to get one and a mold for her rifle. Well the 15th was my bd and guess what came yep the freechex. But it put us in a bind. I was wondering if any one has any 150 grn fn or 170grn fn to share so I can get out to shoot. Till I can come up with enough money for a mold.I am lucky in that all she has to do is go out on our deck to shoot or hunt too. She can't walk more than 20 ft on the flat anymore. Anything I can do for her I do. Thank you all for your time. If no one can help it's ok just thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Thanks to all for all your help. Made an old man very happy to see there are so many here with big hearts. I hope I can at some point repay all the kindness you have shone me in under a day. Thanks to my wife, if there is any one here that I can send any 30 cal gas checks too, just ask. I dont have many made was sick bed for the last week. But pm me and I will try to do some.

Thank you goofy but no I have that covered. I may need to get a lee sizer in 308 but not sure. smac sent me out some at 309 and I think they should be ok. Thanks to all who helped me with this. God bless you all.
