these are the criteria I have and I would prefer to use just one lube and pan lube my boolets

1) work for 357, 45 lc, 223, 30-06, and 45-70

2) work in the temperature range of 20-100 degrees.

3) handle low to high velocity.

Simple to make.

I am guessing I may get a few replies that if the lube existed it would be the only one ever made :) but I would like to know what comes close or covers the criteria best.

I know that you're talking
about making your lube.
BUT.......you might be just
as well off ordering BAC
from LAR'S.

It will do everything you've listed and more.

Ben's Red works for me from 45 lc to 35 whelen, from light to heavy loads in all the temp. ranges you quoted. I've shot it from 15* to 100* with 115* heat index so far. My brother is happy with it in Colorada in the mountains where he lives.

I settled on Ben's Red because i like the softer lubes and the " fling effect" off the boolit it gives. Also for 1st shot cold bbl. performance for hunting in MY rifle.

Lots of good lubes out there that will cover what you want....this is just my favorite one lube do it all.

For those calibers you wont go wrong with 2500+ from LS STUFF. There is a link to them at BENs post. There lube works well for me with smokeless loads.

In pan-lube quantities it's often cheaper to make it than buy it, but I do think White Label can supply bulk quantities economically rather than melting down the sticks.

White Label Lubes.

2700+ and 2500+
if the right one don't getcha then the left one will. I always hope that 2700+ will be the ticket because it's non toxic, pleasent to work with, and stays in the lube grooves in storage, and will not separate through temperature change (Glenn Larson tells me he had a chunk of the stuff sitting on a piece of paper for a year or something, and never saw any bleeding in all that time).
However, there are times when 2500+ just edges out the 2700+ for reasons known only to the boolit gods.
Regardless, these two lubes have been tested in everything from the 45colt to the 30 XCB and has performed perfectly all the way up to 3150FPS in the latter cartridge.
I have stored my lube making equipment, and only use my beeswax for fluxing my lead pot. Between WLL X-Lox, 2700, and 2500, I'm never going to need to mess with making my own lube again.
Oh, and White Label Lubes are cheap and they ship fast too. There is no downside.

Randy Rats TacX or Tac1. It's cheaper for me to buy it than deal with the headache and time of making a similar product. I'd rather be loading and shooting. Making lube is not part of my priority for sure.

I have tried all the flavors of lube Lyman,RBCS offers, have used NRA 50 50 Alox lube as well.

I tested all the flavors of White Label lube with satisfaction.

I have come down to the conclusion that Carnuba Red from White Label
works best in my hand guns and rifle cast bullet loads. Once in the lube
grooves, it stays there.

I chased all the rainbows on lubes and White Label Carnuba Red is the answer for me.

This is not the answer you are looking for. That said, I have yet to find a lube better than Ben's Liquid Lube. If you buy a box of blue nitrite gloves at Home Depot for example, to keep your hands clean, it is quick, clean and based on my experience, highly effective.
