ceramic and pins

Has anyone mixed ceramic and SS pins their tumbler?

I haven't. But I am curious if anybody has tried bb's myself.

I have not either but am curious. I wondered about using larger pieces of ceramic that wouldn't fit in cases to polish them alone after cleaning with ss pins.

BBs are are prolly too heavy for a wobbler but do work in a rotary. I haven't tried ceramic alone but have mixed some hard plastic pyramids (3/8") with my corn cob media for hard to clean brass. I would suspect a mixture of ceramic (depending on the size) and SS pins will clean OK, but you'll get the rough finish from the ceramic, and not the glossy finish from the pins...
