Bear with cast 30-30

two firsts this season, I got a 147 pound bear with my 1973 30-30 I set up with a Williams peep sight. Killed it with a Lee c309 170 f gas checked bullet over 22 grains of IMR 4198. 50 yard shot, dead bear. Didnt get a deer but thats ok, I am thrilled. Love the load also and to get came with a bullet you made is awesome!

I don't have my reloading manuals near but that sounds like a light load, just shows that the .30/30 is a very effective round, congrats!!
