One of the funniest stories of (poof it was gone) was from an equipment operator that hung around the union hall sometimes.
He was also a shrimper and sold some gooooood fresh shrimp, so I ask him about getting 50 pounds or so.
He said his boat disappeared.
I ask if it was stolen.
Nope it just disappeared while I was shrimping.
OOOOKay, it sank.
Nope it disappeared.
Ok now I'm scratching my head on it, so I ask where it went.
He said his net hung up, so he give her some throttle to try and pull free, and poof he was treading water looking at a cooler and a couple of life jackets. lol
I came to the conclusion he had smoked toooooo much wacky tobacky and let it go at that.

Later he hired a salvage team to bring his boat up, and here is what happened.
His net had hung a huge ships anchor and chain that was hanging on an underwater ledge that weighed some 10,000 pounds plus the chain.
When he tugged on it, it was just enough to slide it off the ledge wher it dropped a hundred feet or so. lol
POOF his boat disappeared. lol
