I really need help finding load data for the following.

I scored a box of 50 Ranger Rick .452" 535gr cast gas checked bullets paid $20.00 for them my plan was to load them for either my shortened to 4.25" Ruger Super Redhawk or my 20" barreled LSI Puma M92 both are chambered in 454 Casull.

I started to do a search for load data and even though my googlefoo is pretty good at times I can't come up with anything.

So in desperation I am posting this thread looking for any help for a load for these bullets plan was to use either H110 or Lil-Gun powders I do have other faster burn rate pistol powders as well so if you have anything that can help me out please feel free to share.

Thanks Moki

I'm pretty sure that the bullet is way too long to fit in the 454 case. Try making up a dummy round ,I'm pretty sure that it will bulge the case and you won't be able to chamber it.
The 535 was probably intended for the 460s&w.

A 535 gr bullet in a 454 Casull handgun ? no thanks ! i belive about 350gr to be about the max weight that work's well , probley too heavy for the rifeling twist rate.

lar45 you maybe correct just looking at a case/bullet beside each other the OAL maybe too long to fit I'll put a dummy round together to check the length in the SRH cylinder.

bob I load from 200gr - 405gr in my 454 Casulls.

The 405gr loads do 1330fps out of my 4.25" Ruger SRH these are my grizzly defense loads.

I was hoping to get 900fps - 1000fps from these 535gr bullets.

they only cost $20.00 so for the fun of it I had to give them a try.

Those thumpers were designed for the 460. And not the 5 inchers. The long barreled cannons. Too much of a good thing for the 454. I spoke with Rick about these when he was in business for my friends 460. Is this what you have?...That's a 454 case and a 265er that Rick used to sell also. The one on the right is a Cast Performac 360gr. He had a bunch of custom moulds made when he was doing his thing.

That is the bullet.

I made up a dummy round when lined up with the crimp groove the case did expand and would not insert into the cylinder.

Oh well guess I have to buy a stainless 15" T/C Prohunter barrel in 460S&W now.
