218 Bee Twist Rate

I have been trying the Lyman 225415 in my Marlin 1894CL.
I have been using my chrony as I was shooting groups.
Shots where all over the paper until I pushed them up around 2100 FPS.
Apparently you have to push that heavy/long boolit fast to make it stabilize in the Marlins 1-16 twist.
I am considering the NOE 45gr. flat nose mold.
Anyone tried that boolit in a slow twist barrel?....dale

I have the noe 45g, and load it with 2400 powder to about that fps in my Marlin and Browning. It has worked fine at 100yds but I haven't shot it on paper any further to see if the boolit is starting to tip. When I got the mold, it was my only effort at casting .22 and I figured I was in for a bad day. I was surprised, the mold casts very well (once it is hot).
